Dr Hana Harvey (f)
BMed Sci BM BS DCH MRCGP. Dr Hana Harvey qualified from Nottingham in 1992. After electives in Madagascar, Bolivia, Versailles and various English counties, she did her GP training in Oxfordshire. She then worked for eight years in the Lao PDR before returning to England. She has worked principally for the NHS, but has also worked for UNICEF, the Australian Embassy, New Zealand General Practice and the private sector. She has done research on child nutrition and on the effects of early environment on Serotonin (the happy chemical) transmission in the brain. Her interests include gardening, literature, nutrition and sport medicine. |
Dr Rebecca Boreham (f)
BSc MBBS MRCGP. Dr Boreham qualified from King's College London with BSc (Hons) & MBBS in 2001. After 5 years of junior Doctor posts in various London hospitals gaining experience in A&E, Intensive care and general medicine, she decided to step into General Practice. She has gained additional specialist training in sexual health and has worked as a Medical Officer in a female prison for two years. She has worked locally as a GP since 2007 & has settled nearby with her family. |

Dr Meleri Wyn (f)
BMBCh BA DRCOG MRCGP. Dr Wyn qualified from Oxford University Medical School in 2007. After being a junior doctor in Milton Keynes and Oxford, she moved to Reading to train as a GP, working at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and in local surgeries. These experiences developed her interest in Women’s health and she gained a Diploma from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She also enjoys paediatric medicine and is gaining practical experience in this field as she and her husband now have a lively toddler of their own! A keen musician, she plays harp and piano and takes pleasure in choral singing. She looks forward to being part of the innovative team at Priory Avenue and getting to know her new patients, and will start on 4th June 2013. |

Dr Helen George (f)
MB ChB DRCOG. Dr George qualified as a doctor from Birmingham University in 1985, and completed her GP training in the West Midlands. From 1990 – 2013 she worked as a GP at Priory Avenue Surgery, and now runs a "coil and implant clinic" there once a month. This provides a service for women requiring contraceptive or menopause advice, and coil or contraceptive implant fitting. |
Dr Sarojini Narenthiran (f)
MBBS MRCP MRCGP DRCOG DFSRH. Dr Narenthiran grew up in Sri Lanka and qualified there in 1998 from the University of Jaffna. From 2001, she worked in various hospitals in the UK, passing her fellowship exam from The Royal College of Physicians. Whilst working as a hospital specialist, Dr Narenthiran realised she missed the holistic care and variety in medicine that General Practice provides and as such she decided to switch career paths, leaving to train as a GP in 2007. She now enjoys all the aspects of general practice, with a special interest in women's health and contraceptive services. Dr Narenthiran lives in Earley with her husband and four old daughter. |
