Training Practice

We are very proud to have been awarded Training Practice status for future GPs, supervised by Dr Alison McKinlay, who has recently achieved the Post Graduate Certificate in Medical and Dental Education from Oxford Brookes University.

At times, her consultations, and that of her trainee will be videoed, to help teach doctors to assess and improve their consultation skills and how to talk to patients.

Your participation in this activity is entirely voluntary and you will always be asked to sign a consent form before being recorded, should you agree to be videoed.

No intimate examinations will be recorded, and the recording can be stopped at any time at your request. The recording is confidential and is only used for educational purposes. It may be used to demonstrate Dr McKinlay's or the trainee's competence for their ongoing assessment as a Trainer or Trainee.

We do very much hope you will be able to participate in the training of future GPs. Your help will contribute to doctors improving their communication skills. We hope this will lead to overall better patient care in the future.

Thank you.
