Appointments

To make an appointment with the doctor, nurse or practice nurse either:

Telephone 0118 947 6828 between 8.00am and 6.30pm on Monday to Friday

  • call in person between the same hours.

If you are registered for Patient Access you can also book appointments online

If you would like a free text reminder about your appointments to your mobile phone, please complete the consent form or ask at Reception the next time you visit the Surgery

If you feel you need to see a health professional  the same day and we are unable to offer you an appointment, please tell the receptionist. She will ask for your telephone number and a brief description of the problem which will enable us to decide which health professional is best suited to help deal with your condition. A health professional will telephone you back as soon as they are able. In exceptionally busy periods this may take up to three hours so if the problem is very urgent please ensure that you tell the receptionist.

When the health professional speaks to you they will either give you the advice you need on the telephone or give you an appointment the same day. If you have given a mobile number, please ensure that it is switched on.

If you do not need an appointment on the same day you can book an appointment between two days to four weeks ahead. We will try to give you an appointment with the doctor of your choice, but when he or she is not available you will be offered an appointment with another doctor. Nurses’ appointments are all pre-bookable.

Please note:

  • Be punctual
  • Routine appointments are 10 minutes long. If you feel you need longer please tell the receptionist
  • Cancel appointments in good time - someone else may be in need.
  • One appointment is for one patient.
  • Phone consultations are available every day with all the available doctors.
