Services To Maintain Your Health
We offer a variety of clinics designed to
maintain your health and prevent disease, by appointment. These include:
Well Woman Clinic, held every Tuesday afternoon
by appointment, where women can obtain advice on family planning and the menopause,
preconception counselling and any other women's problems.
Diabetic Clinics, run by a specialist diabetic nurse every Wednesday morning.
Respiratory Clinics, run by the primary care nurses.
Cardiovascular Clinics: run by the primary care nurses.
Travel
Advice, held weekly. Please make an appointment to see the practice
nurse at least six weeks before you plan to travel. We can then ensure you receive
the appropriate immunisation and general advice.
Baby Clinic, run by one of the doctors
each Wednesday between 2.00 - 3.20pm. Baby immunisation is available from 2.00
- 3.00pm every Wednesday. Access to both is via pre-booked appointment.
Minor Surgery Clinic,
held every Thursday afternoon.
Family Planning Clinic,
held weekly. The practice is open to both registered and unregistered patients
for emergency contraceptive services.
ANTENATAL
CARE
Each doctor offers maternity care, and we hold the following clinics:
For your first antenatal appointment (an hour-long booking appointment) a clinic is held each Thursday between 9.00am - 12 noon by appointment. Follow-up antenatal appointments are held on Tuesday and thursday afternoons between 1.00 – 3.45pm.
MINOR SURGERY
Minor surgery is carried out, by appointment, but the patient needs to be
seen by a doctor first.
MINOR INJURIES
The practice nurses and doctors will see patients suffering from minor injuries,
or will advise that a visit to a hospital A & E department is necessary.
